Recommend for solo or family travel. Rooms are more of a motel style but grounds we're nice.
Way overgrown, and musty. The bamboo outside our back porch was awful. Shower leaked all over floor. Horrible, uncomfortable beds. Dated and Need ceiling fans. There were nails sticking up on deck stairs leading up to cabana to get towels. I will say staff was excellent, very friendly and tried to be accommodating. One thing that bothered me was the fact I didn't realize the hotel was pet friendly (I still can't locate it on the website) which caused my husbands allergies to act up. In a nutshell not worth 400+ a night. We were really looking forward to this vacation as we love the cape but are tremendously disappointed.
We always feel welcome . From greeting to departure, a true vacation atmosphere is what you have at Pleasant Bay Village. You can relax by the pool or head to one of the many beach's. You can walk through the town or head for the islands. You can never experience all the Cape has to offer in just one visit.

Staff is kind & helpful. Location is unbeatable. We've stayed here many times and always found the Pleasant Bay Village to be a relaxing, tranquil place. I have only two complaints: 1, The mattresses were uncomfortable--or, at least, not as comfortable as my bed at home. 2, During peak hours (after dinner but before midnight), the WiFi could get VERY slow.
We found our stay to be very enjoyable. Our room was very clean an comfortable. we enjoyed walking around the beautiful grounds. The staff was very helpful and the morning breakfast delicious.
Cons: Rooms can get cold at nights but they have heat. Doors can be tricky to open.
