Ok

The old lighthouse on display is very interesting. It was used in the 2009 film, The Lightkeepers starring Richard Dreythus and Mamie Gummer.

Wonderful little museum with great exhibits.

Connected to the museum is a room art exhibit of some Chatham residents by Alice Stallknecht , a local and matiomally known painter, who shows the people in contemporary clothing, representing biblical themes. Interesting and powerful work!

Kevin Wright.

Outside the museum building there is an innovative lighthouse exhibit.

The Atwood House, built by a ship captain earlier in the 18th century, shows how folks ran a household (the wife), had children, and lived and relaxed. We had a fine tour given by

Very well done museum. You will learn about the history of the Atwood family, Chatham's role in the wars, fishing and overall life back in the early days. There is a small gift shop and a $10 entrance fee to the museum. Spend some time outside reading the informational plaques also.
