I Just loved my 1955 Schwinn Hornet which had been rescued and renovated by John and Tim at Monomoy Sail & Cycle. They are extraordinary masters at their business. They used new alloy wheels and stainless steel spokes, new higher pressure tires, chain, and a new crank, but kept the original chainring, and pedals. There is a new stem with the original handlebars and grips. They kept the original seat but painted the steel underside adding a new kickstand and a reproduction headlight. Incredibly they were able to match the original paint so they repainted it; it looks just like it did when it was new. I am thrilled!!!
This is the best bicycle shop on the Cape!! I was there on vacation and needed some service on my three bikes. They helped right away. The staff is knowledgable and helpful!! The prices are reasonable and fair. This is right on Route 28. I can not recommend this place enough. Restores your faith in competence!!
